About Rachael

I’m Rachael Porter. I create color-drenched art, plant-styled spaces, and modern craft events. My background blends design, travel, teaching, and hands-on making. Everything I create is about how a space feels and how people feel inside it.

How I got here
(the short version)

I didn’t wake up one day and decide, “Let’s start three businesses.” I followed the thread.

First came design, branding, and web work. I’ve always been drawn to shape, tone, color, and the feeling a space or a brand gives you before anyone says a word.

Then life got bigger. I lived in Costa Rica for five years, I lived a travel and adventure lifestyle, and learned what it feels like when your days are actually yours. Somewhere in there, my hands started needing more than a mouse and keyboard. I wanted dirt under my nails again. So I leaned into hands-on making, nature, and the kind of work you can physically see at the end of the day.

That mix is basically my whole personality now:

  • the artist

  • the designer

  • the plant nerd

  • the community-builder

  • and the person who genuinely believes you don’t need a perfect plan to start, you just need to start

What I do now

Think of what I’m building as three connected spaces in the same house:

Saturated Studio
Color-drenched artwork and textured pieces made to live in real interiors. Not “gallery-only” precious. Real home, real life, still stunning.

Made Together
Modern craft events that feel elevated and fun. Cozy, creative, a little chaotic (in a good way). The kind of night where you walk out thinking, “Oh. I needed that.”

Still Life (Coming Soon)
Plant styling and botanical design for people who want their space to feel alive, grounded, and a little bit like a secret garden without turning it into a jungle nightmare.

The thing that ties it all together

Everything I make is about how a space feels and how people feel inside it.

Color changes your nervous system. Texture changes the mood of a room. Plants change the air, literally and emotionally. Making things with your hands changes how you see yourself. Connection makes life worth living.

A DIFFERENT APPROACH

I don’t make things to be trendy, fast, or mass-produced. I create work that lives in real spaces, brings people together, and deepens over time.

The environments we move through every day shape how we feel, connect, live and who we are.

I’m not interested in surface-level beauty. I care about how a space feels when people are actually living in it — how plants grow, how color settles, how people gather — and I build everything from there.
